   In memory of Chernobyl …

32 years have passed since the day when Ukraine suffered a terrible tragedy - a man-made disaster caused by the Chernobyl explosion. The source of nuclear energy, which was considered completely safe, caused damage, the actual amount of which is still unknown. Unfortunately, the Chernobyl disaster is virtually insurmountable, as its main consequence is radiation, invisible and intangible, capable of operating for thousands of years and over vast areas. That is why the theme of the Chernobyl tragedy is close not only to Ukrainians, but also to people around the world. The explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is considered by modern researchers to be five hundred times more powerful than the explosion of an atomic bomb dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima in 1945. There is no cure for human losses, the damage to the nation's health cannot be realistically assessed, but it is the most difficult to measure moral trauma, as the Chernobyl accident has forced humanity to realize its helplessness in the face of nature and fear for the future.

We will never forget this tragedy. We remember the heroes who saved humanity from the probable even more terrible consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe at the cost of their own lives and health.

   In order to honor the heroism of the participants of the Chernobyl accident, instill in students a sense of gratitude and respect for the heroes and increase attention to the problems of overcoming the consequences of this man-made disaster in our school annually held educational events, talks, round tables, book presentations , meetings with heroes-liquidators and other educational events dedicated to this sad date.
