In the Separate structural subdivision "Uman Professional College of Technology and Business of Uman National University of Horticulture" in order to represent and protect the rights and interests of teachers and employees created and operates the primary trade union organization of the college, which is part of the trade union of agro-industrial complex.

The primary trade union organization is a voluntary non-profit public organization of the college, the purpose of which is to represent, exercise and protect the socio-economic rights and interests of members of its organization.

Any employee of the college can become a member of the trade union, who recognizes the Charter of the trade union of agro-industrial complex workers, has applied for membership and regularly pays trade union dues.

Only a trade union member enjoys the right of the trade union organization to defend its rights and interests in matters:

- wages, guarantees and compensations;

- employment, training and retraining;

- working hours and rest;

- ensuring safe and harmless working conditions;

- social protection and health care.

Only a union member can count on:

- representation of his professional, labor and socio-economic rights and interests in public authorities and local governments;

- representation and protection of his individual rights and interests in the exercise of the constitutional right to apply for protection to the judiciary, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights and international judicial institutions;

- representation of his interests in relations with the employer on the basis of a collective agreement and in accordance with the law;

- protection and solidarity support of union members and trade unions.
